- Your adventure begins with a 30-minute barge cruise across the Great Sandy Strait to Fraser Island, watch out for dolphins and dugongs
- Drive along the sand tracks through forests to Central Station, a former forestry camp
- Walk along the banks of Wanggoolba Creek which flows gently and silently through lush rainforest
- Travel up famous 75-Mile Beach to see the coloured sands of the Pinnacles and the wreck of the cruise ship Maheno, which cam ashore in 1935
- Stop for a swim at Eli Creek as it flows swiftly through the dunes or take a walk around its banks to admire the profusion of wild flowers and bird life

- The world's largest sand island is a place of exceptional beauty. The sand surprisingly supports fresh-water lakes, bright as jewels, perched in the tops of the dunes and fast-flowing, crystal-clear creeks
- This is the only place in the world where tall rainforests are found growing on sand dunes at elevations of over 200 metres. The highest dunes are 240 metres
- Famous 75-Mile Beach is flanked by strikingly coloured sand cliffs and desert-like sand blows. Fresh water creeks flow across it to the ocean
